    1911A1 question

My son (a mature gentleman) inherited a 1911A1 from his mother's estate. We do not know the origin of the pistol or if it was ever registered in her name. Since it has an early serial number for an A1 he would like to keep it. (It is a bit rusty but that will be the topic of a later thread.)
Is anything required of him other than the BOF 4544A Intra-Familial Handgun Transaction form??
    Thank you

Just the form and you're done.
