    Numrich

FWIW, I often purchase parts from Numrich, aka GunPartsCorp.com. Recently I saw a receiver I was interested in, but Numrich's ad said that the part was not for sale in CA. The receiver was a commercially made Mauser 98 style receiver, and perfectly legal to sell and own here in CA.
I contacted Numrich and asked why the recevier could not be sold to CA. Here is their reply:

"We are aware that firearms can be shipped to CA. However, it is our company policy not to transfer any FFL items to CA. This policy is not based on any particular State regs; it is strictly our company policy. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any questions, you can call us at any of the numbers listed below between 8am to 4pm EST, Monday to Friday.

    Numrich Importing, LLC
    Customer Service: 845-679-4867
    Orders: 845-679-2417
    Toll Free: 866-NUMRICH (866-686-7424)

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to email us at importing@gunpartscorp.com.

    Sincerely,
    Numrich Importing

While I realise they can establish whatever rules they want, I have decided they will not longer get my business. I am sure I can find most of the parts I may ever need other places.

    More hassle than it's worth.

Here is the response I got:
      Hello,

Our listing prohibits the sale of this item to CA, because we have to go through some hoops to close the deal. Every FFL and C&R item shipped to CA needs a pre-approval number. Obtaining this number is a process of its own. It is our company policy not to go through these hoops.

We are very sorry to disappoint you.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to email us at importing@gunpartscorp.com.

      Sincerely,
      Numrich Importing

California Democrats make it as hard as possible for out-of-state FFLs to do business in CA and you blame the FFLs?

Like most business, Numrich operates on a slim margin, and they don't need the legal hassles of sending receivers to CA.

if you want to get mad, get mad at Sacramento.

        and don't vote for Democrats.
