    De-reg a CA RAW?

Just thought I'd get some opinions on this.

So, now that we're in TX, I thought about what, if any, pros or cons or if its moot, of de-registering my CA RAWs from the SB23 days. I have zero plans of ever bringing them back to Kalifornistan. Even if by some freak of nature we'd come back to Kalifornia (which I don't forsee ever happening), I'd simply just keep them here in TX, along with any new ones I'll be buying...they will never be returning to the commie state.

Plus, one of my Bushmaster M4's, I'm going to eventually put on a Form 1 as an SBR out here.

I've read that it can take up to 2 years for the CA de-reg to be finalized. Not much a big deal in my case. Set it, and forget it. So what say you? Is it even worth it to de-reg or not even worth the time to do it?

Why bother, let the registery be as wrong as possable, it may help future court cases.

Good point. I hadn't thought of that. Anything I can still do out here to help.

My decision after moving was to tell them nothing, The more out of date useless information clogging their system the better. This may be small and petty to some. Don't care. Was going to remove bullet buttons and fin grips and other compliance parts. Toss them at the "Welcome to California" sign at the border. Didn't for 2 reasons, against littering and wanted to escape cleanly. Once removed, going to offer compliance parts for free to anyone who actually needs them.

I have an armalite from sb23 days and since moved to az 5 years ago. I left it registered in ca so i can take it back to ca to shoot if i decide too.

I figure they ain’t gonna come az to take it and it’s one more in their system to complicate things.
