Great! That's basically how it was getting our reg and plates here. Very easy. All we had to do was transfer our CA vehicle's insurance to TX, get a state inspection certificate (smog check) and bring that, our old reg and new insurance policy to the Tax collector's office. Got our new reg and plates right there. The annual registration fee for my truck dropped from $385 (CA) to $80 (TX).

I had no money for that when we moved. Luckily I had what I wanted from the 80s Great Western..

Can't afford any select fire I'd want. Unless they revoke NFA haha...

My first year here I got into buying preowned, I’d meet guys in a gas station parking lot usually. Bought a CZ P10c, Sig M17, Glock 48 and a Mossberg MVP LC in 6.5 c. Second year got into buying 22lr handguns and rifles new, G44, Sig P322, Taurus TX22 & TX22c, S&W AR22 and H&K MP22. Have not bought any guns in the past two years. As great as it is to be able to buy cash and carry and no waiting period you do get use to the freedom after awhile and the luster will wear off.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

I have to say, when I move to America, I can't think of any guns I want or need. Since the roster temporarily loosened up, I got the H&K VP9L OR I wanted and I have the Walther PDP Compact on order if they ever ship them. Other than those two, there really aren't any other guns that I need in my safe, I already have too many to shoot. As people who stay here will learn in the coming years, not only are the tyrants in Sacramento going to basically stop the ability to buy any more new guns, it will become a challenge to legally keep what you already have. The next batch of legislation will put the final nail on the coffin of gun dealers and then they will start in on banning basically everything you already have. Sure, you can tell them to eff off, but when they stop your vehicle reg so you cannot get new tags, stop your state tax refund and any benefits the state owes you, most Californians will either cave or leave. California is well on their way to disarming all law abiding civilians relatively soon, the writing is on the wall and it's abundantly clear.

When the state ignores what the 9th and SCOTUS have said are illegal and Unconstitutional laws while at the same time passing a huge pile of more illegal and Unconstitutional laws, it's abundantly clear that the state doesn't give an eff what anybody or any governing body over them says, they WILL disarm their citizens. Period. End stop. The Nanny State knows best, they are building a Communist Utopia here and in that Utopia, the subjects cannot be armed, because the tyrants have some nice goodies planned for the subjects and the tyrants know that if the citizens are armed, the tyrants life expectancy isn't going to be very long. If you want to lead a "normal" life with being able to obey all of the hoops the state has set up for you to live a normal life like car registration, voter reg, healthcare, unemployment benefits, SS, Medicare, etc. in Commifornia, you will soon be disarmed.

              ^^All this

Couldn't have said it any better.

On another note. I've been collecting for over 30 years. I brought everything to TX and I really dont "need" anything else than what I already had in Kalifornistan. My collection is an investment I've had for many years.

BUT, now that I'm in TX, my focus will be on things I could never have in Kalifornia.

Plus, transferable MG's are waaaaay out of my price range...I mean, I could maybe do 1, but spending those kind of funds will not sit well with "The Management"...ie..my Wife. lol We have other priorities than to spend tens of thousands on a MG. I saw an all original transferable H&K Mp5 the other day for $60,000! Yeah, not happening. lol

But there are certainly other NFA items that are on my list that won't break the bank.

Really it’s not about wants and needs it’s the freedom to go out and do it with no restrictions or waiting periods that excite you in the beginning. Just about my whole adult life in California I was LE and exempt, the first half of it the waiting period didn’t even apply. When I left California I trucked approximately 80 guns with me out of state, the roster never applied to me and I always could carry a gun. But that said it never was just the gun laws or even mostly the gun laws that were my factors in leaving California, freedom is much much deeper then that. I still smile when I see guys open carrying in my local Walmart or grocery store now, it’s not my thing but the fact that it is just an everyday thing here and nobody cares is a 180 from life in Kalifornia. I carried a gun in California for 30 years and painstakingly did everything I could to keep it from being noticeable. Because in Kalifornia if people see a gun they freak the hell out. Here I just throw a T-shirt over it, if it prints who cares it’s just another dude with a gun no big deal.

Picked up the S&W K-22 that they had on consignment. Then drove to the largest gun shop in Hot Springs and bought the other 3. All less than 2 hours after getting license. But, but, but that one pistol has a magazine outside of the pistol grip. That's scary.

I was thinking of bidding on this house, but 4Chan DIY said "$125k tops". https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/3...76158015_zpid/

Now all I see is this one for about close to same $170-ish, but it doesn't seem like 1/2 the house. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1...76154202_zpid/

Very nice. You got a good one then. I notice it's sort of a crap shoot if you get a good one or not. That risk keeps me from buying one.
