Help me get my NRA instructor cert.

Does anyone here offer a class to certify instructors for the NRA? I have lots to offer new shooters and best of all I enjoy it very much. The only thing missing is the NRA instructor badge. Is there an instructor in the East Bay that can help me get the necessary training to get the certification? What kind of money am I looking at spending?

I have one, for pistol.

It's cake. A lot of common sense. They also prep you for instructing and suggest materials to you to use as well.

In all quite easy and many things you already know as a shooter if you read and follow safety guidelines already.

I took the pistol instructor course with Bill Tildwell, great class. I did the rifle instructor course at USI, I can't remember the instructor off the top of my head, but it was also a great class. My brother taught me the shotgun instructor course, but he has move out of state now, still teaches but not local.

If anyone is still putting on classes at USI, I still want to pick up the rifle instructor cert. Did pistol and home safety with John G. at USI, prices were very reasonable, I'm pretty out of touch so I don't know if he or Mike L. are putting on classes. Check the Diablo R&G news for the current contact on NRA classes, I think it is Jim E.

livermore rod and gun club has classes for nra certs....and hunter saftey classes....book up fast so plan early....cheers...

A huge thank you to all the referrals. I signed up with HOWARD RUIZ-HARRISON today. $225.00 for the 2 day class is a great deal. I will post a follow up after I take it.

Very exited and am looking forward to taking the RO certification.

Is the pre-qual shooting course of fire still the same as it was a couple of years ago. The 3 phases of fire with 5 round magazines , 2 phase with 10 rounds total and one with 5?
