    Gun store refreshments.

I had to do some business at 29 Outdoor Gear in American Canyon today. They actually had a small refrigerator. It was full of soda and beer for customers. Incredible shop indeed. IMG_5516.jpg

Because I don’t work there and alcohol is dirty. I know some of you enjoy Satan’s water. so this is a PSA.

When I was a wee tike my local tonsorial parlor and local gun store had Playboys and beer available.

I see no IPA's, I'll pass. We went to a Trader Joes in Vegas a few times. They had free wine tasting!

There is a spot in Sonora known as the Sportsman. It's on Washington Street in downtown. They sell beer...and guns and ammo. I no longer drink alcohol, but I have purchased guns and ammo there. You sit at the bar while filling out the 4473. He doesn't have a large stock, but he will order whatever you want, subject to the stupid CA laws, of course. It's worth a stop, if you're in town.

Remember playing handball at the old Hamilton Air Force Base back in the day.
Was a older indoor set up with multiple courts and small bleachers.
The soda vending machine had beer in it.
What a nice surprise for a High Schooler.
Needless to say we always had plenty of quarters on hand.

You got it backwards, water is dirty, you do know what fish does in it? Alcohol added to water to purify it and make it safe for human consumption.

I've actually suggested something similar to local fishing shops in that fishermen come off the water to buy more flies/bait, leaders/line, etc. and it might prove 'good' for the shop to have a way for them to 'quench their thirst.'

Golf courses do it. Shooting ranges do it. A whole lot of places do it. (Of course, very few of them do it 'affordably.')

It's just that I would be extremely reluctant to offer anything with alcohol when it's tied to guns.

Love that FFL. Always gave them business every chance I got.

I think there's a barber shop in Orangevale that doubles as an FFL. But that was awhile ago.

One of my favorite shops had a fridge full of beer and NA drinks for customers. It's the little things that bring me back. I'd rather pay 10% more to a local shop that gives good service than 10% less to a big box store that takes an hour to do paperwork.

I’m done going to the big box stores. I would rather give my money to the local mom and Pop FFL. Especially when they have stuff like this in there. It warms my heart.

I have waters, sodas and adult beverages for my customers while they are waiting for me to do work for them.
