While I would definitely fork over 1200 bucks, it’s going to be either trickled out by dealers, snapped up by flippers, most likely both, jacked up at least triple the MSRP, and that just puts me in the keep it camp. Should the hype die down in a few years, and the price make sense, I’d pick one up.

      Absolutely 100% spot on assessment.

Kinda like when the VCRs first came out. Over $1000 for one that had a corded 'remote'.

thought this was going to be about the synthetic drug "K2". when a bad batch hit the yard once a few brains were fried, that was a wild week.

I thought it was about the peak, K2, near Everest but nowhere near as famous or easy to climb.

If one becomes available for MSRP, I'd buy it. If it's gouged, pass. Cool rifle but not worth getting gouged for.

And I was thinking it was about Holosun 407k K2 optic...I thought my $250 optic was now worth $1200. Jka. Carry on.

EDIT: And now that I put on my reading glasses thats an x2 not k2 on the side of the optic. Sucks getting old.

funny how based off our life experiences we all thought K2 meant something different before we read OP's post.

I've been contemplating getting a Tavor or a Hellion for years now but I would rather have the K2S. Bullpups look cool but aren't that fun to shoot. The K2S looks really fun to actually shoot.

I had bought one for $500 on the day of the ban. I was taking the day off and heard about the ban on the radio. Ran down to my favorite gunshop, where they were feverishly marking everything up 200%. Down at the bottom of the display case was a forgotten 'Woo, with the old price on it. I bought it, and just as I finished the 4473, the store owner got back from some errands or something, saw me, the 4473, and the gun, and got immensely pissed when he realized what happened. To his credit he followed through with the sale at the original price.

Nice! It's always great to score a bargain for a cool gun.
