    Type 07 FFL

    Hello,
I am now thinking of getting a type 07 FFL, and I was wondering how that worked. On a side note, if you have a type 07 FFL, can you purchase LE machine guns, and use them?
    Thanks!

only if you have an federal SOT (special occupational taxpayer), CADOJ Dangerous Weapons Permit, and have a demo letter from an LEO requesting a demo for that machine gun.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Do you have to have a demo letter, since the gun is technically your company's?

yes, to buy an "LE-only" machine gun, meaning either a "pre-sample" or "post-sample", you have to have a demo letter. You could buy transfererable MGs without a demo letter.

The CA permits will be the most difficult to get.

You also HAVE to be doing this to run a business. You can't just get an 01/07 just cause you want to get stuff for yourself.
ATF will interview you landlord, city, police, ect for the 07.

Others have had the same thought and all of those loopholes have been closed many years ago. From what I have heard, ATF will have you under a microscope and you had better be doing everything by the book.
