Does anyone know anything about Justice Breyer?

I have to do a presentation in front of my english class next Tuesday and my topic is "Should the United States have stricter gun laws or more lenient gun laws?" I was hoping someone on these boards could help me find something i'm looking for.

According to the NY Times, "Justice Breyer cited one study finding, in the justice’s words, “that strict gun laws are correlated with more murders, not fewer.”" (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/29/we...source=message Paragraph 17.)

I'm hoping someone can help me find the study that Justice Breyer was referring to as the article doesn't appear to state it. If you could link me to the study, it would be appreciated.

Perhaps, but his statement can help me get my point across. He stated that stricter gun laws are correlated with more murders and thus strengthens my argument. I'm trying to argue in favor of more lenient gun laws. Finding the study that Justice Breyer was referring to will give me a stronger point to work with.

Furthermore, perhaps his methods don't make sense, but is it not possible that the study he was referring to could possibly be valid?
