Wolff Model 60 J Frame Reduced Power Spring Kit????

Anyone have success with these from Wolff? Both mainspring and rebound.

Light Primer strikes, Trigger reset issues?

Shooters Pak - Reduced Power - Stock Number 17125 - This pak for centerfire models contains 1 each 8 pound reduced power hammer spring and 1 each 13, 14 and 15 pound reduced power rebound springs allowing adjustment for lighter and smoother trigger and hammer action.

I’ve tried various (including Wolff) reduced power spring kits in a number (8) of S&W revolvers, older through new; almost universally, the result is the need for using softer primers due to light strikes. This essentially (for me at least) means sticking to Federal brand primers, as that seems to help in most cases. That relegates those revolvers to the target range and competition. I find that unacceptable. I have since gone back to factory springs, because they always work with just about any ammunition. If you want to improve the trigger action, have a competent, experienced gunsmith polish the internals properly, in only the places that need it.
I’ve also tried longer firing pins, but that didn’t do much. Another thing that IMO needs correction is that the face of the trigger should be smooth, not serrated.

I put a Wilson kit in my SW 442. It reduced the trigger pull without causing light primer strikes.

A Wilson kit in my Model 60 failed.

I have the wolff kit in 2 J frames, working great in both.
