I'm in the market for secure containers. Given potential legal developments I thought it wise to see what's on the CA DOJ's approved list for safety containers.
While perusing the manufacturers, I found that Sig is on the list. Interesting.
When one searches for all models of safety containers Sig has on the list, this comes up: https://oag.ca.gov/firearms/certifie...acturer=151069
The DOJ's website clearly shows the Sig P229-40 as an approved safety device.
So... We're to trust our Government betters to know what's a proper safety container and what is not. And yet they can't keep container and firearm straight.
Taking a look at the CA DOJ's list of approved handguns, I do not see the Sig P229-40 listed. I see P229 models in 40 caliber, but none explicitly by that label.
Clearly some flunkie at DOJ went to the wrong list. Still makes me shake my head.
