Look at the assault weapons law: A semi-automatic pistol must not have a threaded barrel. One way to fix a threaded barrel is to pin and weld something onto the threads; another way is to cut the threaded part off.meow -
As far as I know, there is no requirement to P/W your muzzle device, on a maglocked AR Pistol.
Quiet will probably come in and verify one way or another.LAPD CCW Timeline:

There's two conditions that must exist before a Threaded Barrel turns a pistol into an "Assault Weapon":1) The pistol must be a semi-automatic, and
2) The pistol must not have a fixed magazine.
By making the magazine "fixed", the OP places it outside of the definition of an Assault Weapon.
Please refer to Penal Code section 30515, quoted in pertinent part below:"...A semiautomatic pistol that does not have a fixed magazine but has any one of the following:
(A) A threaded barrel, capable of accepting a flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer."If you build a man a fire, you'll keep him warm for the evening. If you set a man on fire, you'll keep him warm for the rest of his life.👍 3Comment
