    Flying with Stripped Lowers

    Hello!

Apologies, if this is the wrong Section but I can't seem to find this topic in the search bar. Would there be any issues flying into California with stripped lowers? Any special considerations to watch out for? Much appreciated!

In non tsa locked checked baggage. Declare sign affidavit wait for tsa to clear you to gate. Same as flying with any other firearm, TSA does not enforce ca firearms laws.

The only thing that I can think of that could be an issue is that if they are older lowers (pre-2000) and are banned by name in CA. TSA won't be checking for that. Let your conscience be your guide. There used to be a couple flowcharts at the top of the page that defined what is considered a banned assault weapon in CA. Yes, if they are banned by name, even stripped lowers would be considered an assault weapon in CA.

Whatever happened to those AWB flowcharts? Do they still exist on this site?
