I love ACOGs to this day. Funny, I have a mk18 upper that needs an optic, and I have a couple ACOGS laying around. I think it would be a great combo. I have not tried the TA44, but have come close to pulling the trigger many times. I wish the prices softened up....but damn, they have not over the years. Who do they think they are, Rolex? (trijicon)

There are too many optics options nowadays, at very competitive prices, so buying an expensive ACOG becomes a reach.

Understand when you say trijicon thinks they are the Rolex of optics ?. Might just run with a 1.5x acog but having a holographic and a flip magnifier looks pretty tempting. Not to my bank account though!

I don't know if it's relevant any more, given recent court rulings, but AFT was fond of saying that if you had a pistol with a brace, you shouldn't have a rifle optic because it means you intend to shoulder the brace. Of course, all that is moot if you have an sbr.

For the cost and weight of eotech red dot and magnifier, I would personally rather have ta11 or ta33
