If you only want that kind of accuracy, most any bolt rifle can shoot 1.5moa. Its not that big of a feat. Save yourself the money and just go irons. I dont know why you would want something so inaccurate that would shoot between 1.5-2 moa.

      How about Tika?

I'm not a precision shooter but I've heard great things about them as far as 'out of the box' VS Rem 700.

R700 SPS Varmint in 308. Easily a .75 moa shooter out of the box with match ammo.

Spend more on the glass than the rifle. The glass you can always move to another rifle. Good glass makes a big difference!!

Out of the box, nobody can best a Savage.

Not to mention, since it needs no upgrades to shoot better, you save even more money
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero

I love my remy 700's but my Stevenson 200 (same exact gun as savage 110) shoots right with them for $350. I cleaned the trigger up and handloaded ammo ($100 Lee breech lock kit) for it and got an 1.5" group at 300 meters. I'm not a long range specialist by any means. Use the money you save to get good glass (Redfield's are nice on a budget) and a nice stock that fits you well. $1000 bucks will get eaten up quick after taxes, fees, glass, and base/rings.

Stevens not Stevenson, I'm not very patient with my autocorrect on this phone.
