I'd send it to SA because there could be an additional, contributing factor to the FTE. You paid for a working firearm. Let them fix it and pay for shipping (which they'll cover both directions iirc).

I got the non ronin EMP last year. It's perfect. Maybe stick with that model?

Send the defective gun back. I had to return my mil spec 45 for "manufacturing" issues. This way the gun gets properly finished by a team that knows what they are doing. Consider it a final inspection the manufacturing line does not do.
