Title pretty much says it all. I need info on crime increase or decrease being committed with assault weapons since the California ban.
If my answers frighten you then you should cease asking scary questions.

I wouldn't put a lot of faith in the accuracy, but that's what the state has. The problem for the state stats is that there is no requirement for any local governments to report their firearms-used-in-crime analysis to the state, so the data is obviously incomplete.

Combine that with the documented difficulty of arresting officers and DAs with identifying AWs, and the numbers should be highly suspect.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Perfect! I will be sure to state that the info is kinda sketchy and rather broad.

You should also look into how many assault weapons have been recovered from people that can not legally own them. That is what I think the government uses when they try to push through more bills. Even though all the bills do is take them away from me and you.

So much for the theory that "assault weapons" are the preferred weapons of drug runners and gangs.
It doesn't matter how scary, ugly, uncomfortable, or inconvenient self defense can be. Like it or not, you will never, ever be relieved of your duty and responsibility to defend your life, your family, your country and your freedom.

I have long been of the opinion that you can find a statistic somewhere to backup any argument.

Are they counting AW ownership as a crime?
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.
