I was reading that today. I'm betting the ammo is going to be better designed than the old HK G11 stuff.

It is a cool looking SAW...I'd love to have one.

I've tried the plastic cases ammo before in a mini 14, ar 15, and a savage bolt. All three had problems with it. The neck would separate from the case body and would remain in the chamber. This was 7 or 8 years ago and hope it's a different company making it.

If this was quality, do you think So Cal indoor ranges would prohibit its use in their facilities because of its inability to be used for reloads?

I'd be interested if this was an alternative to brass, at a cost similar to steel cased ammo that us So Cal folks can't use too much - never indoor and rarely outdoor without risk of fire hazard areas....

Until they have a way to make carbon fiber casings cheap, brass/steel/aluminum cases will be here for the time being.

The rounds used on the M1 Abrams tank have a casing that based on vegetable matter, it combusts when round is fire and only thing left is the primer. Of course a tank cannon probably generates heck a lot more heat to incinerate the casing and is shot less per minute.
