I would love to have it, but what could i do with it?? the joy of owning a mini-gun is shooting 60 rounds a second... semi auto would just be boring.

Those can be fired single shot, they're not full auto until a motor is hooked up. If you get a kit let me know, I have a buddy who's an armorer for the minigun.

Dooooo itttttttttt. How many of your buddies would be able to compete with that?

However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

Dont get me wrong that is awesome but its too darn expensive... The most I'd ever spend on a gun would probably be a browning 1919 for around 4 grand.. And you could probably make your money back with people paying 10 dollars a pop to take pictures and 20 dollars to shoot it... do that for a couple years and itll pay for itself.

You can buy them cheaper than that. I'll have to try charging $ for people to take a picture with mine.

As for the mini-gun, that is really cool. Zombies could now be sliced in half without having to run up to them and get em with a chainsaw.

Does anything need to be registered to own a minigun in CA? Not that I have $45k sitting around, but curious nonetheless.

If you built it yourself with no motor, no- it's legal as is.

I would hook it up to a hand crank. FInd a buddy to crank it, and you have the full minigun experience.

Or for giggles, chain drive it to a bicycle- selectable rate of fire depending on gear and the fitness of your partner

I don't think gat triggers are legal in CA so a crank would be out of the question.

No problem with a crank because an M134 is a Gatling gun and while you can not put a crank on a semi auto firearm in CA, a Gatling gun (and an M134) is not a semi auto firearm and is legal in CA. Gat triggers are for semi auto firearms and as such, they are "multiburst trigger activators" in CA (CA is one of three states where they are illegal)

I would be careful of how many parts from the M134 you do use under the once a machine gun always a machine gun. You don't want to run a foul of the NFA. But an M134 is nothing more than a Gatling gun with an electric motor instead of a crank and a feeding devise that strips ammo from a belt. You can't put a motor on a Gatling gun, that makes it a machine gun but there is nothing wrong about the feed devise, as long as you have preban belts or stay under 10 rounds. It shold be no different than using an AK kit to make a semi auto.

With a Gatling gun, the breech casing is the receiver. I am not sure of the exact part of the M134 that the ATF registers, but I would bet it is simular.
