    Mag Loader?

Never had a mag loader. I don't know what to look for.
Just know I need one. Fingers are getting worn.
Do you need a loader that's the same brand of gun or is a generic OK?

Get an UpLula...your thumbs will thank you. One of the better purchases I've made since I've started this fine hobby.

UPLULA is the Ferrari of mag loaders and it is tough and durable. There are other brands out there which will not work as well, but are cheaper. Go with the best. NOTE: There is a small black button on the top-left which keeps the mag CLOSED during transport or storage. When engaged the loader WILL NOT FUNCTION. Just fyi for new buyers.

                +1

                Mag UpLula

seems like a total ripoff, but it works as advertised; I load about 2x as fast, and much less wear/tear on my fingers

I have the StripLula for my Mini14 and it's amazing!! Strips the ammo from stripper clip into mags, can be loaded with loose cartridges and act like a stripper clip, and has a little unloader attachment that empties mags fast. Since putting all of my 223/556 onto stripper clips, it's been a godsend. A buddy of mine has the MagLula for 45 and that thing is quick and easy to use.

You won't be sorry. I bought one so my wife could load her own 9mm double stacks, but now I won't be without it for my single stack .45.

Naturally after I paid near $30 for one Turner's had 'em on sale for $20.

I've had my Uplula since early 2009 and its still going strong and I use it almost every weekend for anywhere from 200 to 300 or more rounds. Remember don't leave home without it.
