    Election Scares?

I keep seeing this reference some way or another, what does it mean?
People say prices of ammo and guns are going to increase because of election scares? Can someone please break it down for me?

    Thanks!

It's pretty straight forward, people are scared that if Obama is elected again, he will take on the 2nd amendment and restrict our right to own guns. This stems from the belief that a second term president doesn't have to worry about reellection and therefore stops listening to the public and only pushes his agenda through. This combined with the fact that Obama's attorney general is very anti 2A, and that Obama likes signing executive orders to circumvent congress, leads to people fearing for their right to own any weapons. So this leads them to go run to gun stores, buy as much as they can, which raises prices. People start hoarding ammo as well, further boosting prices. Once people realize that it we just a scare and that there is no reason to be scared, the prices come down. OR, the gov takes on the 2A, and that leads to the second civil war.

+1. Happens almost every time during election year. Its the fear an anti-2A person gonna start passing laws that will screw us over.

You must not have been into shooting in 2007/2008.

Thanks guys, and nope I have not been shooting in about 20 years...ha. I was 12 then and went hunting with dad type of thing.
Have my first gun getting out of jail on Monday.

Wasn't trying to start any drama, was just curious. Thanks for explaining it, makes sense

The 2008 election was pretty bad. For about 8-12 months, ammunition was very hard to come by.

                        YOUNGSTER, are ya'?

It happens EVERY time a Libtard President is up for election/re-election with a decent chance to win. I saw it happen in '92, '96, '00, '08, and now. This is why some of us are sitting on 50k of ammo, a buttload of FULL capacity mags, and rifles with the shoulder thing that goes up.

There are stupid scares. Like the President signing a UN treaty that bans the sale of guns, but sadly some discount legitimate threats from politicians that hide their true colors because millions of people do consider gun rights when they vote.

Will your candidate support an Assault Weapons Ban? Both presidential candidates have, but one says he won't now.

Would your candidate support some kind of sin tax on ammo ( to pay for health care costs )? I would bet Obama would, Romney I doubt he would.

Both candidates have appointed anti gun judges, but I'll give Romney the edge since he probably couldn't have gotten a conservative judge thru his state legislature.

What will life for us be like if the Supreme Court reverses Heller? Did you read the dissenting opinion? That would be what an Obama appointee would vote for.

I'm not running to the store to buy anything prior to an election. I buy all I can whenever I can for the joy of it.
