    Milsurp Silhouette at Sac Valley

    Besides me...

Anyone else here shoot these matches?

Anyone else shoot them just for fun not in matches?

If I lived near it, I'd shoot that match.

    I have a lot of rifles I'd use for it, too. Swede M96, M1903A3, M1s, Finnish M39...

A couple of my HP shooters that shoot the match have been trying for some time to get me to go out there and shoot the match... maybe one of these days....

Bring your Garand. There's a few people who shoot Garands in the match. One guy shoots only with his sling (front bag rests are allowed all the time as the match is shot from the prone position).

I've been putting off picking up a case of GP11 so I could zero in my K31. I don't know if that stuff is steel core or not. I'll stop by sacvalley.org later to check out the rules.

HPS, got a couple packs of GP11 you want to sell?

so many matches, so many guns to shoot, not enough time!

If you guys are going to tell me of such awesome things, you really should provide an address or phone number. I live in the Sac area and would love to take part in a milsurp shoot! Details please folks...

Have you never been to the Sac Valley range? They have match schedules on a rack just inside the range office door.

HPS & Phish - The K31 is the up and comer at the match. More and more people shooting them because they are so good. BTW, they don't allow FMJ ammo on the silhouette range, but at the match will make a one time exception for a newcomer. HP or SP bullets only, and NO magnums.

I guess it's time to get off my butt and order some dies and brass: GP11 is steel jacketed ammo.

I'll definately have to make a banzai run up to Sloughhouse, the K31 is itching to be shot.
