Wood or Synthetic furniture and is there an age correlation?

Wood or Synthetic furniture and is there an age correlation?

I am kind of curious if wood vs. synthetic is driven by age. I would guess that older folks would find wood more appealing while the younger crowd is into the more tactical looking setups.

Post some pictures of your favorite wood or synthetic furniture.

Depends on the rifle, and depends on the wood.
My Ak wearing East German synthetic,

    and wearing Russian wood.

I like the wood on it better. Others like synthetic. Same with my M-14S, I have both wood and synthetic, depends on my mood what she wears

i like syn based purely upon the fact that I don't want to take the time to care for a wood stock.

but certain weapons i would have in wood stock b/c it wouldn't look right otherwise. (ie lever guns, break action shotguns, musket, etc).

Depends on the gun, depends on what the person wants aesthetically, depends on what the person wants to deal with for maintenance or a lack of. For example, you can get an aluminum chassis for a bolt action rifle that has plastic grip panels, but the stock itself is aluminum.

          There are lots of variables.

But think of a favorite gun of yours. Or what you find most attractive.

Mostly depends on the firearm to me... but if it is a firearm where synthetic and wood are both options, I'll typically choose the wood. I have seen an AR15 with wooden furniture, but I feel it looks a bit... odd. To me, most bolt-action rifles should have a wooden stock. (again, obviously with exceptions)

Oh, and while I voted in the 18-25 category, had you asked next month I'd be in the 26-30 group. :P
