Actually, Cheaper Than Dirt turned first and Sportsman's Guide followed their lead.

    For those that don't know...
Cheaper Than Dirt is an anti-CA vendor.
They will not ship anything they believe is illegal in CA, that includes all parts/accessories/magazines for semi-auto rifles.
This is per their company policy and they will happily tell you if you don't like it, you should move out of CA.

DudeDoug2000. This is so weak brother! What a bunch of chumps not wanting our dollars. I hope the CTD guy chimes in on this thread, trying to justify their anti-CA b.s.! The guy always validates our collective dismay at their practices.

Hope you find what you need without too much expense.

What always bugged me about CTD is they would send out a advertisement but when you go to order it's "out of stock" .. screw them I don't do business there.

CTD's risk assessment has dictated a corporate policy not to send many gun related items to California.

As a result, many Californians have made a choice against giving them our business.

There are plenty of great out-of-state dealers/mail order house to work with.

Please give them your money instead.

I tried to order 100 PMAGS for my POLICE DEPT, and they still wouldn't ship to CA.

Thanks CTD for supporting Law Enforcement!

This is the deal for sure. I recently placed my first order with RG for doubles of many items for a build my dad and I are doing. They were out of stock on one item (they had one, I needed two). A gent from RG called me, we worked it out. Couldn't ask for a better experience!

Plus, they give tons of good advice on CGN and I've seen them offer up free simple smithing to folks here. Now that's service!!

If it has anything to do with an AR or AK or uses a picatinny rail for attachment you can bet those idiots at CTD will not ship it to CA. I refuse to order ANYTHING from any company that refuse to ship legal to own items here. I give my money to CA friendly businesses, especially the ones that will disassemble magazines and ship them as rebuild kits.

Midwayusa is better anyways. I don't get why all of you harp on CTD for trying to be on the safe side. They have a choice and made it, Get out of this horrible state or quit your dang *****in. If half of you guys spent the time you spend complaining about people not wanting to make an accident and loose there business, And apply that towards something else you'd be amazing!! Just my .02 let the flaming begin cuz at this point IDC!

It's is pretty pathetic considering I've heard some cheaper than dirt commercials on the local radio lately.

LMAO it isn't just parts associated with evil looking baby harbor seal slaying guns...... They wouldn't sell me a single action pistol or a levergun. I originally thought WTF must be a computer glitch so I called. Lady said nope we will not ship that to CA..... I started to ask why, but decided not to waste the oxygen.

Just order it from RifleGear, BCM, SKD Tactical or Palmetto State Armory, all much better companies.

I used to buy a lot of stuff from CTD, but now I rarely do because of their anti-ca stance.
