Yes, people have experienced this. Do a google search for site:calguns.net cheaper than dirt, you will find hundreds of complaints. It's their store, they can do whatever they want.

Calling did not help me. I tried several times a few months ago.

I bought that exact same item last year from Amazon; no problems.

I just added it to my cart and started checkout - got the same error as you. Strange.

          I was able to add

( from Amazon, not Grand Slam Sports )

with no error. Perhaps the error is due to some agreement with Glock/Trijicon?

            Says under features

This item is restricted for sale to the state of California and outside the US
Which is kind of weird, I bought a similar set of sights for my 1911(a set of Truglo Tritium sights) not very long ago with no problem.

Maybe they are afraid gang members are actually going to learn how to shoot.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's because the tritium could be toxic if it leaks. That would definitely make it illegal to ship it to our glorious state.

We have enough toxicity in Sacramento.

What a bunch of self-aggrandizing, wanna-be do-gooder, knuckle heads we have leading our state down the toilet.

Ebay has banned a lot of people selling tritium items to US buyers. They don't have a specific TOS about it, and no law prohibits it, but they still do it.

Well this sucks. Just got off of chat with Amazon but they have no info other than it can't be transported. Lame.

I bought a pair of Trijcon night sights from Amazon about three months ago. The tracking indicated they left the distribution center but were never delivered. I called Amazon and they replaced them no questions asked. I live in the bay area.

I bought a set of Big Dot Tritium sights from Amazon last summer, no problem. I live in LA city and county...

Look at this ****ing garbage... It didnt stop them six months ago. Do you know anyone out state? The sights are small, have your friend put them in an envelope and send them to you. This must be some kind of CYA thing. The items are certianly not prohibited. Maybe try with a slightly different zip code. Is Diamond Bar LA county? Do you have a friend in Riverside maybe?

This is on XS's Amazon page:
We do not ship orders to post office boxes or APO/FPO addresses.
Due to state laws many of our items CANNOT be shipped to the following states: CA, DC, HI, IL, MA, MD, NY, NJ
Restricted Items cannot be shipped to LA COUNTY, CA; LOS ANGELES, CA; NEW YORK CITY, NY; OAKLAND, CA; ORANGE COUNTY, CA; SACRAMENTO, CA; SAN FRANCISCO, CA; COOK COUNTY
                        Restricted Items cannot be shipped to AURORA, IL; CINCINNATI, OH; CLEVELAND, OH; COLUMBUS, OH, DAYTON, OH; DENVER, CO; DUBLIN, OH; PHILADELPHIA, PA; S BEND, IN; SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH; SOUTH BEND, IN; TOLEDO, OH;
Check your state regulations, hunting regulations, etc before placing an order for the product.

I cant find any info but this thread... It seems like I have heard this before.

I bought 3 sets of Trijicon Glock night sights from Amazon last fall, all were delivered inside CA (Butte County) no problem.

                          ETA:

I just tried to order another set of the same ones I bought in August 2011 - got an error message it couldn't be shipped to my location.

I was able to 1-click order a set of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00070KH5Q - sent to Santa Clara County, we'll see if they actually show up.

The problem is Amazon doesn't know the products sold. Specifically it's the word "Night". Night vision optics to be mounted on a firearm are illegal in CA. You know and I know night sights are not the same as night vision. Somebody at Amazon doesn't.

Notice the example of Tru-Glo given. The word "night" is not mentioned in the description.

That's what I think it is.

When you buy from Amazon price is the only reason to buy from there. Don't expect them to actually know anything about any of the items sold.

What? You're worse with the FUD than amazon is apparently.

Nightvision is not illegal in CA. It's only a problem if there is an illuminator.
