300 blackout vs 7.62x40wt

Folks, I have a noob question. What are the differnces between these two rounds..

300 BLK is SAAMI approved and works for sub and supersonic rounds,

the 7.62x40WT is a wildcat that is predominantly supersonic and gives you an extra ~100fps

If you're hand-loading then it doesn't matter, otherwise I'd recommend 300 blackout.
