How can the ATF seize 30 air-soft guns claiming that if they fall into the wrong hands, then they could be converted into fully automatic weapons??!! Last time I checked they have no firing pin, no gas chamber because a lot of guns are gas operated or unless they have batteries. Plus they'll blow up in your face and you'll loose a hand if not both if you try to shoot it. And they may not even fit int the freakin gun!! Then when questioned they say it's not a question they can answer. Plus they'll even threaten you that if you walk down the street or even get caught with one, then you'd better expect trouble.

Old news but I agree MASTERNOOB it was a silly thing to do. There is no way in hell anyone could convert AS to real live ammo firing weapons.

Ok let me clarify on this subject! Some of the older gas powered AR style airsoft guns were nearly exact dimensions to the real firearm. Apparently what was found out was somebody could go off and take the airsoft full auto lower, throw on an real ar15 upper and bam you have an illegal machine gun.

Those were older models of airsoft guns. Nowadays they manufacture them so they will either not accept a real upper receiver, so the action will not function with a real upper receiver, and so that the airsoft parts cannot be put into a real lower receiver.

Obviously the electric guns, and the gas powered uppers could not be converted. The ATF was throwing a hissy fit over the airsoft gas powered lowers.

Well too bad I can't go on a tirade about the gov't otherwise I would. Plus I'd be saying things the majority wouldn't have the audacity to say unfortunately. Plus I guess criticizing is frowned upon and they say it doesn't help. Well sitting around and not doing anything won't. Voting hasn't either.

They say if you don't vote, then don't complain. You vote and they say oh well wait four years. Cry me a river, build a bridge and get over it.
