Just thought I'd share a little. Noob, kinda excited.
Yesterday I completed paperwork on my first rifle(s).
I bought a Tactical Machine AR stripped lower, and a typ53 Chinese Mosin.
The plan was to use the mosin as something to bring to the range besides my friends' AR.
Currently gathering parts for the AR build, so far I have,
-lower TM-15 (9days to wait)
- YHM upper stripped
-Magpul alum trigger gaurd
- Vltor BCM mod3 charging handle (on order)
Just today I ordered a Plano hard case online, and bought a winchester cable lock for the mosin. Also ordered a Hoppes .30cal cleaning kit(1-2 month ETA....)
SO, I guess that I wanted to share, but I do have a question:
I was hoping to take the mosin to the Chabot gun range 4/28 or 4/29, Would anyone be willing to meet up and give the mosin a safety check for me? (headspace?) No tool kit included with mine. I will happily give some 54r or .223 rounds as a thanks.
I have not one firearm in my possession, but in my toolbox at work I have 260 rounds of AE .223, and 70 rounds tula .223
I guess I'm trying to be prepared to be prepared.......LOL.
