Wow, I don't even know if I should use the dupe tag, I think is more appropriate by now. The concept wasn't even close to being new when magpul did it as there are at least 2 or 3 other designs that have been around for decades(one of them was in robocop2).

Yes they did but like other things they "build". It wasn't their ingenious idea. And from what I remember theirs didn't look as finished as Magpuls prototype.
