Which Sellers are Getting the Guns?

I'm curious about which sellers are getting all the guns we hear are being sold? Big on-line sellers like Bud's seem to have some stock but they are almost always out of the hot sellers.

I just stopped in at Turner's in Reseda part of a chain of stores. They had some stock but it was fair minimal, particularly in handguns. Retting's in Culver City which is a fairly high volume single shop (30-50 guns sold/day) was also complaining that they cannot get many models they order.

Does anyone really have an awesome display these days?

www.usautoweapons.com my favorite gun store in Scottsdale has thousands of guns in stock on their floor. All of the cool ones too. They don't seem to have any problem getting most of the best guns, they must have really good buyers.

Or they're not selling any guns...

I don't know if Retting has "thousands" on display but I bet it's close to at least a thousand.

What I've gleaned from my preferred FFL is that all the kitchen table FFL and gunshops use pretty much the same 3 or 4 distributors to get their inventory. Only the really big sellers (Buds, Cabela's, etc.) are able to go directly to the manufacturers and only then if purchasing large lots of the same item.

If your local shop doesn't stock and can't get a particular guns that other shops have, they're probably not aligned with all of the distributors.

Naw. That's simply not true. There is nearly 100 used long-guns alone on the display floor for anyone to handle.

i spoke with a dealer and he said he has to put in a order for that particular gun and then get put on a wait list for product. I know some guys who say you're interested in xyz gun, check back with me. Those dealers dont put in an order for you. They hope their distributors get it in stock, then you pay for it and they order it for you.

I don't know about other manufactures but KEL TEC makes there guns in short runs. That creates a shortage witch controls the price and demand.Alot of the imports are that way Saiga for example had to dump alot of guns to make for the new line. Then you are in CA where all the cool guns you can't have or if so they have to be neutered.
