Never seen a snap-cap that weighs the same as an actual cartridge. There's no need.

The reasons I am looking for weight accurate are ......

      1. The aluminum ones I have are constantly jamming as I show my wife how to load, unload and safely handle my 9mm and 45. They just don't feed correctly when practicing . I assume it is the light weight . They were not cheap $$.

      2. I think , The "real" weight of a loaded magazine and round would give a more accurate training "feel".

      wrong ? unnecessary ?

What brand snap caps are you using? I use the AZoom ones. Mine have never jammed...

Just make some reloads in the caliber of your choice, but do not use a primer or powder, then mark them with permanent marker so they are immediately recognizable.

+1 on the ST Action proving dummy.

For 22LR I have had good luck with A-Zoom blue dummies.

Thanks everyone ! I have been using a-zooms (red color) . They jam in my guns and leave little bits of aluminum.

Just ordered some "ST action pro dummy rounds " from a company called CopQuest Inc. (Amazon) Thanks kodemonkey !

Last resort will be reloads with no powder or primer . Permanent marker to identify .

                Again , thanks everyone !

You will love the ST Action Pro dummies. I use them on film sets and on the range. I have never had a problem.
