If you DROSed both firearms, (bought 2 rifles at the same time) and it came back good, yes some FFLs will allow you to "store" firearms with them. My BIL did this when he bought a rifle for his wife. No other way to store it without her seeing it. Call them and ask if you can leave one with them for a few days. I think you must pick up (take possession) a DROSed firearm in 30days.

Longguns are firearms...did you mean Handguns? You cannot buy more than 1 handgun in 30days, but you can buy multiple rifles on the same day and DROS them the same day...and you are allowed to pick them up separately. You can also buy multiple long guns in 30days, so you can go pick up one rifle and start the DROS on another.

I hope we are on the same page.

You are allowed to add more longguns to your DROS as long as you have not picked up your firearm yet. The DROS form allows up to 5 longguns to be added. Once you walk out of the store with your firearm, the DROS is officially "CLOSED" (not technically speaking...anyways).

Just a few weeks ago I bought a longgun...4 days later i added another longgun to that DROS form...then when I was ready to pick up (whether it was 10 days or more) I added another longgun to that DROS form. So on that day, I walked out with 3 firearms.

            Hope that helps.

p.s. it sure is a great feeling that when you add another longgun to your DROS on the day of pickup. it feels like you didn't have to wait 10 days for it. hahaha

              Glad to find this thread.
What about Handgun PPT? I live in SF and just bought 2 handguns PPT. The preferred seller's FFL is in sacramento. Can I DROS 2 handgun at the same time? (no need to wait 30 days since this is a PPT). Thanks folks.

As far as i know (PPT or not) its 1 handgun per 30 days since the handgun DROS only has 1 spot. Best bet is to see if the seller can hold the other handgun for you until you can DROS again if his FFL has fees for holding onto firearms for a certain amount of days. (anyone care to chime in to correct me if im wrong)

Thats correct. A shotgun is considered a longgun so youll be able to take it home on day of pick up

If you have an FFL03 ( C&R license) and present it as part of the DROS you are not subject to the 1 in 30 rule.

Two DROS at different dealers for long guns is OK

                            Thanks for this thread.

I am going in tues to put my in my first DROS on a TM lower and have been wanting to also get a mosin.

So if I pay for the lower and DROS+tax, wait 10 days and save another 100-150 I could go to pickup the lower and pay for the mosin added to the same DROS form, and walk out with both.

Correct me if I am misunderstanding, but that makes the 10 day thing seem not as bad......IF you can get more gun money in those 10 days.

It's gonna be a month before I have all the AR parts, so having something to go to the range with would be nice for the meantime.

                            -Cheers

You need FFL03 + COE to do that.
