    A WTB thread I started on MNGunTalk.com...

I've had an interesting thread develop on another forum. I'm trying my best to be polite, but direct in my wording. I'm getting increasingly upset towards the ignorance of the rest of the country with regards to our laws. It's very disheartening.

    http://www.mnguntalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=29970 thread now deleted

Addendum: No where in PM's did I ask this "gentleman" to ship me an assembled magazine, and in fact, I gave him options.

A quick synopsis: I'm trying to purchase rebuild kits for my P99. A few messages were exchanged, and communication ceased. This was followed by the potential seller writing in my WTB post that he would not break any (perceived) laws, despite my explanation of rebuild kits and the handy CGF Wiki page.

Some people think they know everything and are impossible to deal with. Once they hear something from online or a friend of a friend, they automatically think it the truth. The uneducated are ignorant especially when someone is trying to correct you with the truth.

It really gets me when FFL's on GunBroker are unwilling to ship to CA. This in addition to Sportsman's Guide's and Cheaper Than Dirt's sales policies on non-prohibited items. They are missing out on many sales.

While I don't anticipate living here for more than another 6-18 months, my time here has been valuable in my education of firearms laws. While I cannot change the rest of the US, I hope to positively impact those who don't know/understand our laws or the firearms culture and community in California.

If he's just going to troll the thread in hope's of getting it closed because you are trying to do something illegal according to him (because he's an FFL, and must know more than anyone else in the world who isn't), PM a mod and have them tell him to stop?

The thread is now over, thanks to the mods. They didn't have a problem with what I stated, but decided it's better to try with a clean slate. No complaints from me, and now I can start fresh.

sorry to hear about some internetz lawyer messing up your deal. Next time have links ready. Links to other commercial websites who disassemble magazines before shipping to CA.
