Hey Guys,

Thanks for all your previous advice.... I am moving to California from Texas this weekend and I want to check if what I am doing is legal:

1 - I have 5 pistols, all with magazines with 10 rounds or less. I will be driving (unloaded) them across the border in a locked plastic box (with padlock) in my trunk. I will register them within 60 days and pay the fee. For those that are curious.... HK P30S .40S&W, HK P45, Sig P238, Glock 23

2 - Driving across my Benelli M4 in a rifle bag unloaded and no trigger lock. In trunk of car

3 - I am leaving my suppressors in Texas. I am also leaving my HK MR556 and MR762 in Texas. Since I don't have bullet buttons for either rifle. Once they make a bullet button for the MR762, I will drive them into California. Both rifles have mounts for my suppressors but no suppressors.

4 - My HK SP89, I am leaving in Texas, do I need to install the bullet button since it was manufactured as a pistol and not a SBR. If I do not need to install the bullet button, I will bring this pistol with me.....

Please let me know if I am doing anything wrong.

3 - I am leaving my suppressors in Texas. Problem...is your stamp still valid when you move? I am also leaving my HK MR556 and MR762 in Texas. Since I don't have bullet buttons for either rifle. Once they make a bullet button for the MR762, I will drive them into California. Good, but you are allowed to ship yourself a firearm Both rifles have mounts for my suppressors but no suppressors. Good with a BB all features are fine so it doesnt matter if it has a flash hider with threads.

4 - My HK SP89, I am leaving in Texas, do I need to install the bullet button since it was manufactured as a pistol and not a SBR. You need a BB due to the law on pistol AWs
A semiautomatic pistol that has the capacity to accept a
detachable magazine and any one of the following:
(A) A threaded barrel, capable of accepting a flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer.
(B) A second handgrip.
(C) A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely
encircles, the barrel that allows the bearer to fire the weapon
without burning the bearer's hand, except a slide that encloses the
barrel.
(D) The capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip.
If I do not need to install the bullet button, I will bring this pistol with me.....

Problem...is your stamp still valid when you move?

Yes, he's tax stamp is still valid.

BATFE allows for the storage of legally owned Title 2 firearms in another state, if the owner moves to a state that prohibits the Title 2 firearm.
Storage requirements of the Title 2 firearm has to be such that only the owner has access to it.
Example... In a safe and the owner is the only person with the key/combo to the safe.

I did have BATF confirm my ability to store my suppressors in Texas. Along with my collection on high cap mags.

On my SP89, I will mount my BB.

Next project, getting a CCW in Santa Clara county....mission impossible
