    Pro Mags are crap.

My pro mags won't fit in my Saiga (IZ sporter) or my AK47. I first got them for my AK Variant but when I discovered that they did not fit, I said no big deal, I'll just save them for my future Saiga. Well they don't fit my Saiga as well. Live and learn

How hard are you pushing them? Have you Reyes filing the parts that catch?

ProMag AK specific magazines will not normally fit into Saiga "sporter" models. They are also "trim to fit" for your AK. Usually the bottom of the rear latch in the mag needs a little filing.

OTOH, outside of factory mags they're the only brand I've tried (and I must've tried like 2, or 3!) that worked in my various Mini-14s over the years.

I use the surefire mags, never gave me a problem yet.

I had to file all of my ProMags for my Saiga. After that they work really well. I heard the surefire mags a better, but I have not used any

I agree. Their pistol mags are even worse.

I have two pro mags for my saiga. Once I filed down the lip a bit they seated in mine, though it's a tad tight.

Same problem with a couple for my Mini-30. The rib on the back of the mag is visibly larger than on the factory 5 rounder.

A lot of aftermarket mags have issues, but most can be made to work OK. Sometimes aftermarket mags are the only economical option. Many need some work done to the feed lips or the double column alinement ridges. Some need to have followers or the inside of the body polished. Most aftermarket mags use crappy springs. Good quality mag springs are a must.

Is this a converted Saiga? A stock Saiga needs a modification to the mag release and the addition of a bullet guide to run mags designed for AK's (assuming this is 7.62x39).

Are you sure you got the ones for the .223 instead of the 7.62x39?

Crap mags. I bought a couple and actually threw them away...maybe use them for recreational shooting but I wouldn't use them for HD or PP
