Now i understand that AP ammo is illegal both by state and federal laws. What gets me is the definition of AP ammo. I'm looking for a pistol upper chambered in 223 or preferably the 5.45x39. As far as the 223 is concerned is the SS109 (m855) 62 gr considered AP or not. Also i here that all the 5.45 in cans have penetrators in them also. I've also read that making AP is only legal for FFL of 11 classification. Somebody want to give me the skinny.

M855 is not AP. The law only regards AP handgun ammuniton anyway."A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......CiceroComment
