Cool, never heard him speak before. What accent is that? (I could look it up, his ethnicity, but am too lazy.) I didn't expect him to have an accent. Kind of reminds me of that Father Guido Sarduchi character on the old Saturday Night Live show. -

Your description cracked me up. He does sort of sound like Father Guido.
For the record, he was Canadian born but moved to the U.S. with his parents when he was a small boy. Not sure, but I think he has a French Canadian background. I'm not familiar with what a typical "French Canadian" accent sounds like when the person is speaking English, but find it kind of humorous thinking there may be a whole region up North of us where everyone runs around sounding like they stepped out of a SNL skit.....
No disrespect against Mr. Garand, who of course was a firearms designing genius.Comment
