    Electronic Muffs Recommendation?

So my birthday is coming up and my fiance wants to get me some "accessories" since I tend to spend most of my extra cash on guns and ammo which leaves the extras somewhat lacking. Generally I use ear plugs, though I do have two sets of cheapo Howard Leight [Leightning] standard muffs that I never use because they are too tight on my head and they tend to get in the way when shooting rifle.

So I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation for some nice electronic muffs that might be better suited for me? I've tried searching but I haven't found many results in the way of electronic. Budget is around $100, although cheaper is always a plus. So heres what I'm looking for:

Comfortable - I have a huge head (lol) so it'd be nice if they have some sort of size or tension adjustment to them. Or at least be a "one size fits all, even you large headed guy!" size.

Electronic - Seems interesting, I like the idea that you can talk to people without having to scream. I don't imagine I'd ever use the iPod hook up, but I guess it wouldn't be a bad thing to have it.

Decent NRR - The ones I found on my own seemed to have a pretty low rating (22db) but does this actually matter? If the muffs actively filter out loud bangs, the NRR shouldn't really matter right?

Low profile - Something at least remotely thin around the ears. I've knocked my muffs off more than once while shooting trap, it'd be nice if I cold find something that wouldn't do that anymore.

EDIT: Heres the pair I was looking at that got me thinking about getting some. Aside from the low NRR, they look pretty good and the price is right. Just wish I could try them on before buying them:/

I have the same ones that you linked. I love them, they fit well, and I have a pretty big head. They have held up well in the 8-9 months I've had them and the batteries seem to last forever.

And don't worry about the low NRR, just double up if you are indoors. Outdoors they are more then enough, unless you shoot heavy calibers.

They work pretty good for the price. I double up with plugs especially indoor ranges. I also have a huge head and wear them for hours with no problem.

I have those too, also the Peltor Tac6, and I like the Howard Leights a little better. I have a large head too and the Leights seem to fit a little better. Although they both work just fine. Definitely double up with the ear plugs.

I too have these and am happy with them. I also double up with some surefire earplugs because I want to protect what is left of my hearing.

I have a pair of Caldwell Low Profiles for $25 that work just fine. At worst, they become a spare set.

I have that set, and they are tight on my head, but work OK. However I have not compared them to anything yet. I just bought some caldwell ones, but have not used them yet.
I think I would really like to try something like this http://www.etymotic.com/hp/eb15.html

The muffs you linked are on sale right now at Big 5 for the same price too.

cabelas has the "pro-hunter" for $129, which are actually Pro-Ears. I got my set when they were on sale for 99. NRR 26 or 28. They're almost exactly my old Pro-Ears (first model) but in green
