    Standard Cap Mag Question.

    I'm planning a featureless AR build and I'd like to know if possession of standard or "high" capacity mags is legal in this situation: Let's say hypothetically I was not old enough to legally own a rifle in the year 2000, however I now own a few 30rd mags (legally). Would I be able to use those mags in a featureless build?

    There was no age limit for owning high capacity magazines before the lwas was put into effect. If you have a featureless rifle you can use any high capacity magazines in it that you own.

      yes. it is legal...

      The only illegality in the situation would be is you manufactured/imported the mags or if you used them in a BBd gun

      Featureless= no bb

      You found the mags (just make sure it actually is a crazy coincidence)

          In Ca., lots of 10-12 year olds legally owned high cap mags for their 22s and other rifles prior to 1-1-00. But, the problem I see here is that the OP sounds like he wasn't one of those smart kids.

          OP,
          Play stupid games and win stupid prizes. Just do not expect anyone to come to your aid after comitting a stupid felony. You better ask youself if this is worth becoming a felon and losing your gun right forever. Your future celly, Bubba, thinks it is. How 'bout you?

            Ok thanks for the replies. Its good to know there are no age requirements on legally owning mags.

            I feel I should clarify that 1) My scenario was hypothetical and an attempt at poking fun at the situation we are in with state laws. I know to keep my mouth shut about how my property came to be my property. 2) everything I have was legally obtained.
