Want a light kit for your Safe or Gun Locker?

So i went and got a light kit from autozone, that has 2 strips of 9 led's each that come with a power source in the package so you can try it or what ever. And a new little toggle.(socom tip-dont use the lighted toggle ,it just sucks up power for no reason)

Stuck one in the top, to light the shelf, and one to the bottom of the shelf to light the bottom area. Used some velcro to stick the power source to the wall, and cut a rectangular hole in the front of the shelf for the toggle and wired it up.

Sooo nice to open up the door, and have a well lit weapon storage area.

Looked like this before in the dark closet,

Looks like this now, ambient light added to help camera.

I just added LED's to my safe. 4 Pods with 3 L.E.D.'s each, self contained with battery. Its more than a safe now...its a gun lounge.

Home Depot and Walmart sell these, which are cheap and easy to install with the velcro included, and put out plenty of light. I put one on the top of the safe to light the top shelf, and one under the shelf to light the rest of the safe. You just push the center of the light to turn on/off. They're battery operated (batteries included), and can't be rigged to turn on when you open the safe, but for $12 for two, and 3 minutes to install, it was worth it for me.

Does the light stay on when the door is closed, so the guns won't be afraid of the dark?

Definitely go with the Calgunner's LED kit. I still have to buy mine soon.

It's a mossberg silver reserve. Nothing too fancy, but I bought it at big 5 a few years ago on sale for 489. The normal price was 649, so I thought it was a pretty good deal.

Cuda- Your safe looks to be just about the [exact] same as mine...is it lit up with just the one lighting kit?
