My daughter told me that one of her co-workers, a young woman, was stabbed in the back by someone who broke into her apartment, in Ventura. This is pretty rare around here but it's interesting that she mentioned this as we were leaving the shooting range after her first time. I think some light bulbs clicked on for her. I was actually in a gun store today and saw a lady asking home defense questions. The conversation went from pistols straight into shotguns.Comment

I have seen a lot of that lately, about 75% of the time I'm at a gun store there is a lady or couple looking at pistols and shotguns for home defense. My wife hates guns but I bought her a 9mm that is by the bed with my .45. She complains about my guns but when we drive to WA on vacation she expects a pistol to be with us, or if I'm out of town she makes sure her 9mm is ready to go.Gun control is a 1" group at 500 yds!Comment

I was in Ventura Gun Store today (it was the grand opening of their indoor range) and a lot of women are checking out guns and some are lining up on the range. My wife is asking for the Sig 1911 TTT.NRA member

My wife was chased into our garage (not connected to the house) by a man that was harassing her. It took 9-10 minutes for our local PD to respond. He was arrested.
