Why all the anti gun media coverage lately?

Is it me, or does it seem like a tidal wave of cherry picked anti gun news stories are popping up everywhere in the headlines lately? They're always there, but it seems to me that it's gone through the roof lately, with Huffington Post in particular working overtime here.

I suppose that with all the political events going on, that it's possible that more people are flying off the handle and committing criminal acts, but I really don't think that it's an increase in crime, as much as the liberal media pouring on the negative attention to cast uncertainty and doubt on firearms rights.

The question is why? Aside from election season coming up, what's the motivation here?

Really? Geraldo saying "hoodies can't be redeemed" ? REALLY - I whole heartedly agree the Martin case is tragic... but its the least of our worries and if you can't see the wool being pulled over your eyes for it....

because a kid who was casing houses to rob attacked the neighborhood watch who questioned him, then was shot dead as he attempted to take the concerned citizens gun... the Media needs a poster child to champion more gun laws. They thought they found one, but its slowly turning out they were wrong...so instead of simply reporting the truth in that case, they look for other cases...when one of those other cases hits a note with the public, they will run with that.

Every day we get new news sources. Just think of how much media there was 4 years ago compared to today. In order for a news media to be recognized it needs to show any and all dirty laundry to satisfy the anger that feeds its viewers. Seriously, just like sex sells, so days anger. Watch the news, the only time you see something good or nice subjects is after the first 15 or 20 minutes. Look at most of your talk shows, it is about anger, the government is doing this, our government is bad, the government is a bunch of idiots. Hate and fear sell!
