    Which Reno gun show?

So I was planning on heading up to Reno to check out a gun show.

I see I have two choices upcoming.

    1. The Big Reno Show in April
    2. Crossroads of the West in May

While I really like to look at historical/old stuff, I really only have money to buy what I need. What I need is more current accessories like a rear iron sight for an AR, maybe an optic sight, a part for a modern handgun, molle gear, always need more ammo cans...and maybe some ammo.

I was hoping that based on that description you could let me know which is the "better" show to spend my limited time at...I can only go to one

Please respond with first hand experience only...no stories about a friend of a friend.

    Thanks!
I don't know how political I am, I don't get into all that crap....I just love freedom...

I'm a vendor at the shows...What do you mean by "limited time"? If you only have a couple of hours, I'd skip the Big Reno Show as it is HUGE! Not to mention, I think it's $19 to get in, which doesn't seem like it'll be worth it if you can't spend all day/all 3 days there. Because it is bigger, you might find better deals BUT you have to find them in a huge space filled with tons of vendors. The Crossroads show isn't as big so you'll be able to get in and fairly quickly, not as big of a selection but prices are still pretty reasonable. Hope that helps! It's a tough one!

IMO, you go to a gun show to learn or to get to see & touch old used odd ball stuff not likely to be in a gun shop. If you know just what you want, you will get better deals online. Gas, Food & the admission fee will make anything you get there far more expensive than online shipping included. You have to buy a few hundred bucks worth of stuff at a good price or score a rare find to justify the cost. Then you have to think of your time spent & the frustration of trying to move past tons of dazed people just standing around blocking the tables and aisles. If you go there a lot & get known by the regulars who sell there, it can be a great deal. Big Reno has more historical stuff & is much larger. They can be great entertainment, if you are not in a rush or burdened by an impatient wife/GF. Watch out for the NHP between Verdi & Reno, they love to snag CA drivers speeding. Between Verdi & Boomtown westbound is a great trap.

The Big Reno Show is $10 to get it but way better than Crossroads. Even if you can't see the whole show its still worth it because the selection is so much bigger.

No comparison there, the first one is the biggest gunshow in the western US, the second one is a good place to buy beef jerky.
Grand Sierra, Chevy's bar inside, Sat nite, 1st beer is on me. I'm easy to find, black ball cap with a SVT-40 on the front.
