Cleaning a chrome gun

Hey guys, got my desert eagle refinished in polished chrome was wondering what I would use to wipe it down or what you guys use to wipe down your chrome pistols. Thanks.

I'd probably use some sort of higher quality chamois cloth

Most likely it's not chrome plated but bright nickle plated. The base plating is usually copper and that can get attacked by bore cleaners. Hoppes will attack copper, don't ask me how I know.

If it is polished HARD CHROME. You can't really hurt with anything. You can scratch it though.
Treat it like any other gun.

NOTE: If the chrome is a highly polished chrome. Only use very soft clothes to wipe it down. Rough towels will micro abrade the finish and slowly the chrome will become a bit less glossy.
