    PPT Sales at Crossroads Shows

Quick question about PPTs at Crossroads shows. I used to attend these shows regularally but have not attended one in several years because I get better ammo prices on line, have absolutely no interest in Nazi ****, get my beef jerky at Vons and have no interest in standing in long lines.

That being said, I'd like to get rid of a couple of guns, saw an ad for an upcoming Crossroads show in Costa Mesa and was wondering if anyone still goes to the shows with signs on their backs and conducts PPT's via licensed dealers at the shows. In the old days, folks used to do this and take breaks, sitting around the food court areas, with their signs out "advertising" so to speak. The last time I was at the CM Crossroads show, I saw some folks doing this and someone came out and ran them off. I don't know if it was a dealer or Crossroads staff person.

Question is, if I was to attend the next CM Crossroads show, and take a couple guns to sell PPT, with the intention of doing the transfer via a licensed dealer, am I going to get any drama from the Crossroads folks walking with guns "for sale" signs. Additionally, if I was to take a break and buy a 10.00 hot dog and 15.00 beer at the food court, and have my "for sale" sign laying out, am I likley to catch some grief from a table dealer or Crossroads staff person.

    1) No you won't get any grief. Tons of people go in there with signs plastered on their backs or on their gun cases including me.

    2) No, they won't bust your balls either for taking a break at the food court. You'll see other people there aswell eating and resting their guns/signs down. I never got any crap about it. Just don't take the whole table and lay everything as if you're operating it as a stand for the day.

However, if someone asks to see your weapon while in one of the buildings, do not stop infront of a table dealer and block potential customers from viewing his items while you're showing off your gun. Step to the side away their tables and do your thing.

and expect people to ask you to sell them illegally. When they do, yell at the top of your lungs, "I am not going to sell you a gun illegally, go away." Make sure people hear you.

Diesel, thanks for the advice. I expect some folks will ask for cash/carry. Its happened last time I was at the show several years ago and I politely told them no F-In way and moved on.

I am also talking about making sure there are witnesses to your objections. There are "testers"... there are hidden cameras... There are editing rooms.... protect yourself.
