    rear sight suggestions for AR

I picked up my Del-Ton AR-15 today but has no rear sights(which is fine).
But i need some suggestions .
I was thinking of putting a Magpul Flip rear sight. And wanna know the best one to buy and cheapest site to buy it off of.
But if you have any other suggestions i am open to your thoughts of course.
Any help will be nice Thanks

Assuming they have it in stock, Botach sells the MBUS for 44.78 shipped. Also check out some of the cheaper iron sights if you're on a budget, like Matechs.

Are you planning to use optics on the gun? If not, a DD fixed sight would be a great option.

I've heard both good and bad things about the Magpul flip up rear sights. There are those that think anything Magpul produces is infallible, but then you have to ask yourself; Do I really want my "iron sights" to be polymer? I am from the school of thought that you should be proficient with iron sights before moving to a scope, red dot, etc., so I went with a classic carry handle with adjustable rear sight. (Nostalgic for my M-16 from my days in the Corps.) Eventually, I'll get an EOTech or AimPoint, but for now, I'm just having fun with a modern version of a classic. If you do go with the Magpul, please let us know what you think!

Carry handle sight is nice and solid, but gets in the way of you're planning on running optics. Yes, there are carry handle mounts but it's still unneeded weight in my opinion. Never in my military career did I ever use the carry handle for what it was originally intended for- as a carry handle.

If you're running an optic, you don't want to spend the unnecessary amount if time taking off your optic and replacing it with the carry handle. With a smaller rear flip up sight, you can just pop them up without needing to take the optic off.

Try looking for a Matech- they are milspec, standard .mil issue for the M4, and can be found new for under $80. I got my last one for $40 shipped still sealed. Just make sure you get the Battle Arms Development upgraded bracket.

I go that with all my ARs. The nice thing is the carry handle protects the sights well, I'm not afraid to leave it with other gear that might impact dedicated smaller sights, I know it's a very remote possibilities, but hey, one less thing to worry about. I have enough problems keeping enough q-tips around to clean the dang thing anyway.
