USPS Redelivery trouble?

Hey, guys. I just recently purchased my first handgun through an online
dealer and ran into a little trouble I think?

Anyways my firearm was scheduled for delivery yesterday(Wednesday)
through USPS, but my FFL are closed on Wednesdays.
So my tracking number tells me that they left a notice on their door.

My tracking number also states that, "You may arrange redelivery by
visiting www.usps.com/redelivery or calling 800-ASK-USPS, or may
pick up the item at the Post Office indicated on the notice. If this item
is unclaimed after 15 days then it will be returned to the sender.

I called my FFL and he tells me that it will automatically get redelivered
today(Thursday) even though the tracking information states otherwise.
My tracking number hasn't been updated about redelivery or anything for that matter.

Now, if I wanted to reschedule delivery myself, wouldn't I need the
notice that was left for my FFL? Does my FFL have to call USPS and
schedule for redelivery?

Has this happened to anyone? Am I worrying too much?

I just really wanna get in and get my paperwork done so I don't have
to wait any longer

Any help would be appreciated.

Call him tomorrow to see if he received it.

If he didn't, tell him the procedure to get redelivery service.

Your FFL is, theoretically, an expert and should have this well in hand. No doubt he has found his Wednesday off has caused this problem before.

yeah, I figured that. I just read another forum about the same thing happening to this dude and he had to beg the FFL to schedule another redelivery which got me worried
