    The $235 Wingmaster(UPDATED)

Well I was cruisng the Turners online gun rack and stumbled across a gem
I had NO intetion of buying a gun today
    THIS was 100% impluse buy

Im scrolling down into the R's and see a Remington 870 listed for $190 and think WTF

I open up the link and look a the picture and think something is fishy
So I call the Ranco Cucamonga location as they are the ones that HAD the gun
    Yes its still forsale

Ok so I get all gitty
Do I drive out to Rancho Cucamonga twice which would be 4hrs of driving??
naw theres got to be a better plan

So I call them back again and ask them if they can transfer it to Orange, I get the yes confirmation=CHALLENGE ACCEPTED

So I run over to Orange to buy the thing
I told the man that was helping me Fred, what I wanted and he thought I was nuts
he looked it up and there it was

so we started the paperwork but I guess they are switching cpu systems and there was some technical problems

It surely wasnt the quickest process of buying a gun but the price I was EXTREMLY patient

So we finally get things wrapped up and I asked Fred if it would be possible to put the minimum down on the gun and he said yes

Here is a picture of my $235 out the door Remington 870 Wingmaster
this was taken off the Turners website, not my shot

I say the price and realized to myself that I couldnt not buy it
If I wanted to I could sell it for what I have into it

I dont really have any plans for it right now
It will probably get used mostly at the Trap range at least right now

Im not even sure what type of choke it has or if it can take thread in chokes

Though the buying process is kinda weird
Can anyone help me understand this one
I have never bought a gun from one Turners and had it transfered to another

I guess that I have got to wait 30 days from when Rancho Cucamonga took possesion of the gun

So on 4/11/13 I will drive back to Turners and then start my 10 day waiting period

That entire thing seems really weird to me
They said it was something to do with pawn/used gun/ffl laws here in CA
can anyone provide me some insight

Its not like I need that shotgun soon but it would be nice to have if I wanted to go shoot a round

This is my second used Remington 870 that I have gotten from Turners Orange lol
my first one is setup home defense style and then this one

I put $70 down on the shotgun today

Excellent price in this day and age, you really made out. Those older Wingmasters are awesome.

Oh - and double check, I think the receiver is only meant to shoot 2 3/4" shells, not 3" magnum.

Im looking forward to this but its over a month away lol

Turby you are probably right on the shell size
I dont really see myself needing to use anything larger than 2.75" in that gun at least right now

but I will be checking all of that

deadbolt, I was a little bit also but they are giving it a 90% rating and 870's are a pretty reliable chassis

I am pretty syre that all 870's can shoot 3" shells, they all have the same receiver.

                            Not mine

                            BTW, that's my $200 Wingmaster.

Wait, so you are saying a barrel change is all it would need to use 3" shells?
