Looking for steel targets for my SPR

    Hey Guys,

I'm looking to get some targets to take out to Tumey. I think all I really need is the hanging steel plate. Who makes these? I'd like them to be relatively light/portable so it's not a pain carrying them out to my shooting spot.

I'm all ears to any other target suggestions.

    Thanks.

If you just want hanging targets made from AR500 steel that are pretty inexpensive try Wideners, these targets have been great for me.

Widener's Reloading and Shooting Supply has ammo and reloading supplies for sale at cheap prices. Find out why we're the best deal on the web today!

Here is what I came up with for a target stand. I ordered (2) 8" AR500 3/8" thick round targets. I used 3/4" steel pipe from Home Depot, I bought a 10 foot section of pipe and had them cut it into (4) 2'6" sections and had them only thread one end of the pipe and used those for the legs, then I purchased a 3' section to hang the targets from. I used some chain and bolts to hang the targets and some adjustable straps to hang the chain from the upper pipe. I used (2) 3/4" tees, (2) 90 degree street elbows and (2) 45 degree street elbows. total cost was around $100 for everything. It holds up really well and is heavy enough to not move upon impact. Two people can shoot it at once and it does not move. My brother and I use it with our AR's using .223 and shoot at it from around 200-300 yards.
