Yeah let's all stop supporting gun shows! Give me a break with the reminiscing. The past is history. Live for the present and plan for the future. I think it's a great sign that my local Costa Mesa show is packed and getting more so. 2 years ago only the 4 main halls had vendors. Now all the outdoor space is filled as well. Hopefully more people are becoming gun owners and will turn into gun advocates in our state elections. We need to support these shows like our beloved Calguns does by having a booth at them. If you don't want a fire starter or beef jerky then don't buy it. I would rather walk around a gun show and drink a beer on a Saturday afternoon than a lot of other things.

I went Saturday morning and the place was packed. Finally got in around 11; the lines were pretty long. Got a few things that I wanted. Ammo was flying out the doors. I was told by a friend on Sunday that the ammo was scarce. Glad I went Saturday.

At Cal Expo, between the cost of parking and the cost of the show, unless you're there for something significant, it's not worth it in my opinion. I'd prefer to save it all for a trip to the Reno show.

[QUOTE=waho;8197637]Another question about entry prices, is there a difference in entry prices between McManns and Crossroads? At the Phoenix show they really nailed people with $12 parking and a $19 entry fee, otherwise it was the same show as Ventura except more people.[/QUOT[
The only gun show to go to is the SAR magazine Gun show in Phoenix in December.Remind me of the old LA county fairgrounds gun show's.

I've only been to 1 or 2 CrossRoads here in Ventura. Unfortunately I missed the Crossroads show last month, but there is another at the end of next month. From what I remember in Ventura parking is still $5, but admission is around $12. Otherwise there were more and better vendors at Crossroads. Also more gun related and less crap. We'll see what the next one is like 28th/29th of April.

By the way, I'm jealous of anyone who can attend an Arizona gun show, but I spend more than I should at the Ventura shows as is, so I guess it's good I'm not closer to AZ. I dropped a bit over $300 on Saturday... But next time I'm out there to see family, I will try and time it around a gun show!
